Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
[Eric Ferguson wrote:]
I recently helped Margaret Lambourne create her (large) publication collection. A problem arose when adding publications named "anniversary" or "jubilee" or "diamond" and such: several similar publications could show up, and it was impossible to see which one matched. I had to open SCDDB on another machine and go to each publication's "overview" page, to see the publisher. For some publications the titles had been entered incompletely, on others the "official" title on the cover was so incomplete that I extended the title by some source information between () so they could be recognized.
This "title tweaking" is undesirable. The most obvious solution would be for the "collection" drop-down box to show both title and publisher. Then each choice becomes unambiguous.
This has been taken care of in the recent enhancements to collections.
